Skiing

To ski on the famous Olympic runs of the Patscherkofel mountain just step into your skis and head down to the Cable-car station, 100 meters from the Hostel front door.
After a day skiing on the Patscherkofel‘s well prepared slopes, ski back the the Hostel front door.
Or you can visit one of the ski areas in and around the Innsbruck area. The ski school and children‘s classes use the beginners lift just next to the Innsbruck Hostel. To complete your day relax and enjoy our apres-ski bar.
Also start your Ski-tour at the Innsbruck Hostel front door and reach the 2250m peak via prepared slopes or on forest tracks.

Snowboarding

The downhill run of the Patscherkofel mountain finishes at the cable car station, 100 meters past the Innsbruck Hostel, so start and finish your snowboarding day from the hostel.
Enjoy the freshly prepared slopes and relax in the the sun. There is also a brand new fun park with jumps and rails on the Patscherkofel.

Go and shred!

Freestyle Skiing

At the top of the Patscherkofel ski area, you will find a brand new funpark for skiers and snowboarders.
There are several jumps, rails and other obstacles for you.
Just 20 minutes drive away there is also the Skyline Funpark, at the Seegrube.

Telemark Skiing

The latest craze is Telemark skiing. Go and rent the equipment in one of the rental shops in Igls and try it out!

Ski-Touring

A welcome alternative to skiing or snowboarding is ski- touring. It is a great fitness training.
Once you have reached the top of the mountain, you will enjoy skiing through the knee- deep powder slopes down into the valley.

Tobogganing

You can toboggan directly to and from the front door of the Innsbruck Hostel. You can use our sledges and go up and down as often as you want.
Once you have finished, enjoy a hot ‘Glühwein‘ in front of the open fire- place in our bar.

Bobsleigh

Let us book you on a Guest- bob, just 3 minutes away from the Innsbruck Hostel.
The olympic bobsleigh run is nothing for the faint- hearted.

Ice Skating

Just below of the Innsbruck Hostel there is the ice skating rink for young and old. Open daily from 10am to 8pm. Ice skates are available to hire there.

Ice Hockey

At the ice skating rink you can also hire the whole rink for your self and have a game of ice hockey. 

Curling

At the ice skating rink you can also have a game of curling. Lets see who can aim the best.

Cross-Country Skiing

Every day (except Saturday) the free cross-country skiing bus takes you to the best cross country tracks around Innsbruck.

The bus leaves at 9.30am in front of the tourist information office in Igls.

Snowshoeing

Off the pistes and cross-country skiing trails, we will discover the magic of a beautiful winter landscape. Free guided winter hiking tours or snowshoeing tours lead through snow-covered meadows and forests.
